HEALTH & SAFETY
It is the policy of PM Total Maintenance Services Ltd. (the company) to ensure safe working conditions for all its staff, employees and sub-contractors. These measures will also be used to protect others who are affected by our work. This will be achieved by means of: Utilising best possible working practices, complying with relevant statutes, regulations and approved codes of practice and when required in accordance with client procedures.
The provision of Health & Safety training for all staff at the appropriate level. In order to comply with the standards required, the company has engaged Safety & Training Services, as our professional Health & Safety Consultants, and the company Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for Health & Safety matters on a day to day basis within the company.
The company also requires its employees and sub-contractors to fully understand their legal obligations whilst at work, i.e. to make certain as far as is reasonably practical that all possible steps are taken to ensure the Health & Safety of themselves and of any other person who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work. All such employees and sub-contractors are required to co-operate with their employer in order that the company can meet its obligations.
The company will establish documentation procedures and shall define responsibility for safety in all aspects of its work in accordance with the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations.
The statement will be amended, as appropriate, from time to time and a revised copy issued to all Employees and Sub-Contractors. A copy is also to be displayed on notice boards.
